Charu Thomas, Co-Founder at Oculogx
Charu Thomas studies Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), where she currently serves as the lead researcher on two separate studies related to Augmented Reality in Order Picking under her adviser, Thad Starner, the inventor of Google Glass. One study explores a completely novel sparse picking layout; the other is evaluating mechanisms for RFID verification. She is also the co-founder of Oculogx, a startup dedicated to the application of Augmented Reality in supply chains. Her logistics career began as a researcher at the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines where she implemented simulations of autonomous vehicles for Home Delivery - research presented as the keynote speech at the 8th International Scientific Symposium on Logistics. Subsequently she investigated and recommended robotic systems order picking within McDonald's supply chain.
