When it comes to e-commerce, what ships out often comes back—as much as 70% of the time, depending on the merchandise category. That means retailers must cope with a literal avalanche of returns. To find out how many of them have an effective, efficient reverse logistics strategy and what those best practices are, the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), the Reverse Logistics Association (RLA) and Supply Chain Management Review (SCMR) surveyed nearly 300 practitioners.
