evo explores the collaboration between culture and sport by seamlessly joining art, music, streetwear, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing and wakeboarding. Our aim is to bring all things relevant to the urban, action sports lifestyle into one creative space.
The evo DC is a 124,000 square foot facility staffed with 30 year round associates, specialists, and leads - this flexes up to approximately 75 seasonal and temp employees during the peak season, which lasts from Mid-October through February, and peaks on the Black Friday-Cyber Monday weekend. The DC leadership teams is comprised of the DCM, and 5 Production Area Supervisors. We provide fulfillment to 3 company owned retail stores, but approximately 80% of our volume is direct to consumer (e-commerce).
We utilize High Jump as a WMS, all inventory transactions are performed via RF Scanners or Virtual Terminals, but are in the beginning stages of automation otherwise. Ours is a "before" story... EDI implementation is in the very beginning stages, and other initiatives are 5S implementation (just now embarking on the Sort phase), LMS (EasyMetrics) integration, Customer Care team start up, and standardized Process Documentation. Motorized & automated conveyance are certainly in the future!
