THE GENERATIONAL DIVIDE: HOW TO LEVERAGE TODAY’S MULTI-GENERATIONAL WORKFORCE TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY

For the first time in history, there are four distinct generations in the workforce: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and Millennials. This presentation provides insight into how your company can harness the varying perspectives, work and behavioral styles, and expectations of each generation to promote a more harmonious, productive and innovative workforce.
Objectives:
Awareness of generational history, including generational commonalities and stereotypes
Understand and focus on the positives that each generation brings to the workforce and how a manager/supervisor can leverage those unique attributes to create more synergy within their organization
Leverage your knowledge of these generational attributes in order to understand your workforce
Knowledge of generational training allows for higher retention rates, increased training and higher levels of communication with your workforce
Understand how to recruit the right people for your business

About the Presenter:
Brette Hardison joined enVista in April 2008 as Human Capital Manager. With seven years of Human Resources experience, Brette is an Appreciative Inquiry Practitioner and specializes in Generational Training and Human Capital Consulting. Brette has successfully managed several Human Capital projects from process changes to training and development. Prior to enVista, Brette worked in manufacturing and aerospace assisting companies in large scale project management and other strategic initiatives. Brette is currently a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Indy SHRM. Brette received her B.B.A. from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University.
