Bruce Abels was awarded a lifetime membership at the Annual Conference in 2004. Bruce was WERC's first President and served a two-year term.
Dr. Tom Speh was awarded a lifetime membership at the Annual Conference in 2008. Research Center at Miami Univ. since Sept. 1977.
Ken Ackerman, president of the management advisory firm The Ackerman Company and was a founder of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). Before going into consulting, he was the chief executive of Distribution Centers, Inc., a public warehousing company that is now part of Exel Logistics USA. Ken was named a lifetime WERC member in 2002.
