The layout of your facility drives daily decisions about product location, picking paths and methods, flow-through, putaway, receiving and shipping. You can't move columns or dock doors, so what can you do to get the balance of productivity and throughput that will best serve your customer needs?

Attend this seminar to learn key rules of thumb that will help you to maximize the space in your warehouse and improve productivity.

What You Will Learn

This interactive seminar puts you in the driver's seat when, on day one you examine all of the elements for planning space. Then on day two, you work with a group to redesign a fictional distribution center using the techniques and tools from day one. You'll learn:
  • Tips for analyzing and quantifying your current operation

  • The benefits of taking an "inside out" view of your warehouse

  • How to evaluate types of storage modules, lift trucks, material handling equipment, conveyors, picking methods and work flows

  • The most common warehouse layout and design mistakes

  • Calculating payback and ROI of alternative designs and technologies

  • How to achieve the best layout for your facility – and reduce costs in the process!

  •  Key factors to consider when redesigning your facility

  • Successful implementation tips and techniques
