“Integration of Process Management Tools in Warehousing” reports on the findings from a study of WERC members on their adoption of process management tools in the warehousing environment, focusing on ISO 9000 and activity-based costing. The document examines in depth the utilization of these tools in companies of various demographics.
Key objectives are to provide tools that help warehousing managers:
- understand the logic of complementary implementation of process management systems
- benchmark for their organizations against companies of similar demographics
- gain context for crafting a business plan to introduce process management tools to their organizations.
The study was conducted by Paul D. Larson, PhD, Professor and Head, SCM Department, Director, Transport Institute at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Stephen G. Kerr, Assistant Professor of Accounting, UNR/TAC Project Coordinator at the University of Nevada, Reno, NV.
